SolarAPEX aims to sign important projects abroad with the vision of becoming a global brand in the coming period

SolarAPEX is proud to bring large-scale solar power plants that meet the energy needs of our country to our country with its years of investor experience as well as its engineering in solar energy installations. SolarAPEX, which has passed half a century with an innovative approach, has also become a data and technology company thanks to its R&D activities.

TURNKEY PROJECTS TO EUROPE AND AFRICA

SolarAPEX has signed approximately 300 MWp of EPC contracts this year alone. It has completed approximately 200 MWp of these projects. In 2023, SolarAPEX Board Member Besime Özderici stated that they expect to sign at least as many contracts as they signed last year. “Next year, we are planning to realize our turnkey solar energy projects in Europe and various countries in Africa, as well as 50 MWp of solar energy investment for the beginning,” she said.

INDUSTRIALISTS TURN TO GES ON LAND

Within the scope of Article 5.1.h of the unlicensed electricity generation regulation, it is allowed to establish a solar power plant on land for producers whose rooftop solar energy investment does not meet their own consumption. Besime Özderici emphasized that in this context, industrial organizations and production facilities with intensive energy consumption are turning to on-land SPP investments to meet their self-consumption needs. Özderici also stated that on-land SPP investments have gained momentum in this way and that they think that a large part of the project capacities they anticipate to complete next year will consist of on-land SPP investments.

“MINIMIZING THE IMPACT OF GLOBAL DEVELOPMENTS ON THE SECTOR REQUIRES EXPERTISE”

SolarAPEX Board Member Besime Özderici, who stated that recent global developments have caused breaks in the supply chain, said: “The difficulties in accessing the components of solar energy systems led to delays in the delivery dates of the projects. The inability of the supply to meet the increasing demand and the price increase as a result of the disruption of production as a result of delays in access to raw materials also negatively affected the feasibility of the projects. We were able to manage this process well thanks to our experience in adapting to changing conditions, our purchasing power as a result of financial resilience and the framework agreements we made as a result,” he said, emphasizing that they are one step ahead in the sector.

“WE ARE GETTING CLOSER TO OUR CARBON NEUTRALITY TARGETS WITH GES PROJECTS”

Besime Özderici mentioned the need to limit carbon emissions in inter-country trade within the scope of the Paris Climate Agreement and said, “In order to increase SPP investments in our country, industrialists are offered opportunities to meet their own consumption as much as possible. The storage legislation that entered into force very recently is one of them. This regulation allows the power plant to become a licensed facility when, in addition to any unlicensed renewable energy power plant, it is committed to establishing a storage facility up to the installed power of the system.

As a result of these positive developments, with the increase in the installed capacity of solar energy in our country, both our country will get closer to its carbon neutral targets and our industrialists will be able to compete in terms of price with countries that have ratified the Paris Climate Agreement while exporting. For this reason, investing in solar energy is of strategic importance, especially for large industrial organizations with high consumption,” he said, calling for the use of renewable energy.

SOLARAPEX TAKES IMPORTANT STEPS TOWARDS BECOMING A GLOBAL BRAND

Besime Özderici, Member of the Board of Directors of SolarAPEX, who also mentioned that they aim to sign important projects abroad with the vision of making the SolarAPEX brand a global brand, said: “For this purpose, we follow the steps to be taken and put them into practice. The most important of these is to complete the steps that will harmonize our company with ESG standards. In order to achieve these standards, we have initiated our efforts to increase the number of female employees in our company, which currently stands at 33%, to expand corporate sustainability and social responsibility projects, and to work on climate change and environmental factors.”

“WE ARE WORKING TO CREATE AN ENERGY ECOSYSTEM BASED ON RENEWABLE RESOURCES”

In line with their goal of pioneering sustainability in the solar energy sector, Besime Özderici mentioned that they focus on environmental, economic and social dimensions in their work and said, “In this context, we address issues such as combating the climate crisis, reducing carbon emissions, sustainable use of resources, energy efficiency and energy supply security, and work to create an energy ecosystem based on renewable resources. Our work on SPP investments and applications contributes to our country’s carbon neutrality target. Aware of our responsibility towards the planet we live on, we act by contributing to our sustainability goal day by day.”
